Les tutoriels organisés par EuroTeX'98 le dimanche 29 mars sont ouverts au public, notamment aux participants à la semaine WEPT. On trouvera, en cliquant ici, le tableau synoptique de toutes ces conférences et tutoriels.		All of the tutorials organized on Sunday March 29th by EuroTeX'98 are open to the public, in particular to the WEPT conferences participants. A general time table may be seen by clicking here .
Ces tutoriels sont organisés simultanément ; il n'est donc pas possible de s'inscrire à plus d'un seul tutoriel. Le choix du tutoriel doit être indiqué lors de l'inscription.		All EuroTeX tutorials are held simultaneously. Thus it is not possible to attend more than one tutorial. Choice of tutorial should be made on registration form.
La langue utilisée dans les tutoriels est celle du titre : les tutoriels A et B seront en français, C et D en anglais.		Each tutorial will be given in the language used in its title: thus tutorials A and B will be in French, C and D in English.
La durée des tutoriels n'étant que d'une journée, il n'y aura pas de travaux pratiques. Des démonstrations pourront cependant avoir lieu.		Because the tutorials last only one day, no computers will be available for practical work by the participants. Some, however, may be used by the lecturers for demonstrations.
Les participants à EuroTeX'98 ont accès aux tutoriels organisés en français et en anglais par les autres conférences. Les inscriptions à ces tutoriels sont prises directement par les organisations concernées.		EuroTeX'98 participants may attend tutorials in English or in French organized by other WEPT conferences. Registrations are taken directly by the organizations concerned.

Comment débuter avec LaTeX	Michèle JOUHET CERN, Genève, Suisse
Qu'est-ce qu'un éditeur de texte à balises ? Commandes de base, structuration des documents simples, emploi des extensions, principaux environnements et mise en page, mathématique simple, insertion de graphiques, bibliographie et index.

Approfondir LaTeX

Savoir manipuler les boîtes avec LaTeX, insérer des graphiques, réaliser des transparents, utiliser AMSLaTeX, faire sa propre mise en pages (multi-colonnage, listes variées, table des matières personnalisée, pieds et hauts de page, tableaux complexes), comprendre le mécanisme d'utilisation des polices en LaTeX, le rôle des différents fichiers concernés et pouvoir faire appel à une nouvelle police, bien utiliser la bibliographie ou fabriquer un index, voila de nombreux sujets d'approfondissement.

Starting from the basic "advanced control sequences" (\expandafter, \futurelet, \after{group|assignment}, etc), we will look during this tutorial as ways of exploiting TeX which transcend its raison d'être as a typesetting system and which instead take advantage of its functionality as a highly sophisticated macro programming language. By the end of the tutorial, participants may confidently expect to be able to read the "Dirty tricks" chapter of the TeXbook with renewed confidence and interest!
